The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the partial effect of the western wind and low-pressure system may cause rain and snowfall.
According to the department, light snowfall is expected in high hilly and Himalayan regions. Some areas in the hilly region of Sudurpaschim Province may see light rain.
In the morning, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces had partly to generally cloudy weather, while the rest of the country had partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Some areas in the Terai experienced light fog.
The weather department has predicted partial clouds across all seven provinces, with snowfall expected in five provinces except for Madhes and Lumbini. However, these provinces will only have cloudy weather at night.
