This past Sunday, a promotional event for the movie was held in Pune, where Akshay Kumar and the entire cast made an appearance. The event took place in a mall, and every individual present seemed desperate to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. The situation soon spiraled out of control, leading to chaos and near-stampede-like conditions. Now, several video clips from the event are going viral on social media, in which Akshay can be seen trying to calm the situation.
Women Seen Crying
Along with Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, and Fardeen Khan were present at the event. As soon as word spread that the Housefull 5 team had arrived at the mall, a massive crowd gathered to see their favorite celebrities. The moment the stars appeared, the crowd began to lose control. In one now-viral video, a woman can be seen crying near the stage, followed by another emotional woman. Jacqueline and Sonam Bajwa are seen approaching them and trying to comfort them.
Akshay Kumar Makes an Appeal
Meanwhile, security guards were constantly urging people to move back. A video clip of Akshay Kumar has also gone viral, in which he is seen appealing to the crowd to remain calm and maintain order. Speaking into a microphone from the stage, Akshay is heard saying, “Please don’t push. I am folding my hands and requesting you. There are women and children here, please don’t push.” The expressions on the faces of the rest of the cast on stage also appeared tense. Once the situation was under control, the event resumed and concluded on schedule.
Film to Hit Theatres on June 6
It is worth noting that Housefull 5 also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever in key roles, although they did not attend the Pune event. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film, which is all set to release on June 6, 2025.
