Fifty-three individuals have been arrested from an illegal call center in Satdobato, Lalitpur.
A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) conducted a raid on Monday night and took them into custody.
Among those arrested, two are Indian nationals, while the rest are Nepali, according to CIB Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Dipak Thapa.
Thapa stated that 85 laptops and 82 mobile phones were seized from the suspects. Preliminary investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were operating a call center in Satdobato and engaging in illegal activities, including online gambling.
The CIB has reported that further investigations will be conducted after extending their custody today.
