The construction of international-standard parapets at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur has officially begun. A ritual ceremony was performed on Tuesday to mark the beginning of the project, and full-scale construction work is set to start on Wednesday.
According to officials involved in the project, the goal is to complete the construction by the last week of Baisakh. To meet the deadline, work will be carried out in shifts as needed.
The contract for the parapet construction has been awarded to BKOI-KCDC-BG JV, a company based in Tangal, Kathmandu. The total approved budget for the project is NPR 437.7 million.
Additionally, the contract for installing floodlights at the stadium has been given to Bishan-Ishwari Joint Venture, located in Gwasingal, Lalitpur. However, work on the floodlights is yet to begin.
