Poland’s space agency, POLSA, has announced it is working to restore its services following a cyberattack. The agency, which oversees the country’s space activities, revealed on X that it quickly disconnected its network from the internet after detecting the attack on Sunday. As of now, POLSA’s website remains offline.
Poland’s Digital Minister, Krzysztof Gawkowski, confirmed that state cybersecurity services had identified unauthorized access to the agency’s IT infrastructure and are investigating the incident to determine the perpetrators.
The specifics of the cyberattack are still unclear, and POLSA has not responded to inquiries from TechCrunch. In a recent statement, Gawkowski noted that Poland is the most cyberattacked country in the EU, with many incidents attributed to Russian groups. Last year, Poland confirmed it was targeted by APT28, a hacking group linked to Russian military intelligence.
