Daredevil: Born Again

As Daredevil: Born Again nears its conclusion, the series takes a surprising turn, revisiting the tragic death of Foggy Nelson in its first episode. What initially seemed like a simple act of revenge by Bullseye is revealed to be something much more complex. Although Bullseye appeared to kill Foggy out of vengeance, it turns out he was just a hitman following orders.

A Shocking Discovery on Daredevil: Born Again

In the eighth episode titled La isla de la alegría, we find Bullseye (Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter) in prison, being transferred to a new section filled with common criminals who seem ready to take down the former FBI agent. While in prison, Bullseye tries to explain that he shouldn’t be there but is quickly cut off. This unsettling moment sets the stage for the unraveling mystery surrounding Foggy’s death.

Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, soon learns of Poindexter’s transfer, which seems like a death sentence. As Matt starts to investigate, he suspects that something is off. The owner of a bar reveals that the last time Foggy was seen alive, he was celebrating with a drink called O’Melveny’s—a drink they used to enjoy when they won cases. This makes Matt believe that Foggy was celebrating a win in a case related to Poindexter.

A Darker Truth Unfolds

After some investigation in Daredevil: Born Again, Matt realizes that the true mastermind behind Foggy’s death wasn’t Fisk, as he had suspected, but rather Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Fisk’s wife. Vanessa had taken over Kingpin’s operations during his absence and ordered the killing to prevent Foggy from testifying in a crucial trial.

In a dramatic turn of Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil also learns that Bullseye manages to escape prison after being severely beaten by Matt, which sends him straight into a confrontation with Wilson Fisk. In the process, Matt intervenes, saving Fisk’s life but getting seriously injured.

A Nod to the Comics

While this twist is fresh for the show, it draws inspiration from the comics, where Foggy’s death played out differently. In the comics, Foggy survived his near-death encounter with Bullseye, and many fans hope this will be the case in the show as well, especially with the upcoming second season already in production.

Season Finale Coming Soon

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again will wrap up with its ninth and final episode, set to air on Wednesday, April 16. Fans will have to wait until then to see how the story unfolds and whether Foggy’s fate takes another unexpected turn.
