Darshan Thoogudeepa Draws Attention After Skipping Court, Spotted at Bengaluru Film Screening

Kannada star Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently out on bail in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, has once again found himself at the center of public scrutiny. After missing a scheduled court hearing recently, the actor made headlines last evening when he was spotted attending a film screening in Bengaluru.

Darshan was seen at the premiere of Vaamana, featuring actor Dhanveer Gowda. Videos and pictures from the event have gone viral across social media platforms, showing the actor exiting the theater. In one clip shared by a fan, Darshan can be seen smiling at the paparazzi while walking with a slight limp.

To recap, Darshan, alongside actress Pavithra Gowda and several others, was granted bail by a Bengaluru court in December 2024. His initial release came after he cited severe back pain during his imprisonment, prompting the court to approve interim bail for medical treatment. Although Darshan claimed to require immediate spinal surgery, no official medical updates were submitted to the court following his release.

The murder case revolves around the death of Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old fan, who allegedly sent inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda — rumored to be romantically linked with Darshan.
