The Muglin–Naubise section of the Prithvi Highway will have partial daytime closures for a week starting Sunday, Poush 7, 2081. The road will be closed for three hours daily, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., to improve curves by cutting cliffs at Pokhare Bhir and Bishaltar.
Alternative Arrangements for Vehicles
According to Engineer Bijay Darai from the Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project (West Section), heavy vehicles heading from Naubise to Gajuri will be diverted to Galchhi–Baireni, while light vehicles will stop at Jarekhet.
For vehicles traveling from Chitwan to Naubise:
- Heavy vehicles will halt at Chalise.
- Light vehicles will stop at Ghatbesi.
For Vishaltar curve improvements:
- Heavy vehicles from Muglin to Malekhu will stop at Majhimtar.
- Light vehicles will halt at Charaundi Bazaar.
- Heavy vehicles from Malekhu to Muglin will stop at Benighat Bazaar, while light vehicles will halt at Vishaltar.
Exceptions for Emergency Services
Ambulances and security vehicles will be managed to pass through as needed.
These temporary restrictions aim to enhance safety and improve traffic flow on this key highway section.
