Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel and Pokhara Mayor Dhana Raj Acharya, who were injured in the balloon explosion in Pokhara, are in a recovering condition.
The hospital has stated that their treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) is ongoing and that their condition is improving compared to yesterday.
Although dressing has been done, updates on the wound’s condition will be provided. While their current condition is stable, doctors have restricted visits entirely due to the risk of infection.
The treatment team includes Prof. Dr. Praveen Giri and the ICU team. Additionally, burn specialists such as Prof. Dr. Shankarman Rai, Dr. Vishal Karki, Dr. Manish Yadav, emergency care specialists including Dr. Prayus Aryal, and nursing staff members Rina Gauchan, Nirmala Kunwar, and Trishna Maharjan are also involved in the treatment.
