The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have confirmed that Devdutt Padikkal injured and will miss the rest of IPL 2025. He suffered a right hamstring injury and won’t return this season. Padikkal has been one of the most important players in RCB’s batting lineup this year.

Strong Performance Before Devdutt Padikkal injured

Before getting injured, Devdutt Padikkal had scored 247 runs in 10 matches. He had two half-centuries and a high strike rate of 150.60. He was the second-highest scorer for RCB after 11 matches, showing his consistency and aggressive style of play.

Mayank Agarwal Replaces Padikkal in RCB Squad

RCB has announced Mayank Agarwal as the replacement as Devdutt Padikkal injured. Agarwal returns to RCB after more than 10 years. The experienced right-handed batter has played 127 IPL matches and scored 2661 runs. He has one century and 13 half-centuries in the IPL. He joins RCB for INR 1 Crore.

RCB has three more matches left in the league stage of IPL 2025:

  • May 9: vs LSG in Lucknow
  • May 13: vs SRH in Bengaluru
  • May 17: vs KKR in Bengaluru
