Actor-filmmaker Dhanush delighted fans with a surprise appearance at AR Rahman’s The Wonderment tour concert in Mumbai on Saturday night. Taking a brief break from his hectic schedule, the actor joined the Oscar-winning composer on stage, creating an unforgettable moment for the audience.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Dhanush stepped onto the stage, dressed in coordinated blue attire, waving and expressing gratitude for the warm welcome. Sharing the spotlight with Rahman, he performed Adangaatha Asuran, a powerful track from his directorial venture Raayan, which was released last year. Videos and photos of their energetic performance quickly spread across social media, sparking excitement among fans.
Following the event, Dhanush shared a photo with Rahman on Instagram, capturing the electric atmosphere of the evening. He captioned it simply, “An absolute honour @arrahman sir ❤️,” highlighting his appreciation for the legendary music director.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has been making waves in the music scene beyond this concert. Recently, the first single from Kuberaa—a trilingual film directed by Sekhar Kammula—was unveiled. Titled Poyivaa Nanba in Tamil and Poyiraa Mama in Telugu, the upbeat track features vocals by Dhanush himself, who also showcased his dance skills in the lyrical video. Kuberaa, starring Dhanush alongside Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna, is scheduled to hit theatres on June 20. The music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
