Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has thrilled fans by releasing the teaser for his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3. Co-starring Neeru Bajwa, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27. This third installment in the beloved Sardaar Ji franchise sees Diljit returning as the charismatic ghost hunter fans adore, promising a perfect blend of comedy and supernatural thrills.
The teaser opens with a group arriving at what is claimed to be the most haunted castle in the UK. Instead of fear, they summon Diljit’s character, whose unique blend of swag, humor, and ghost-busting skills takes center stage. This sneak peek hints at an entertaining mix of laughs and spooky moments that audiences have come to expect from the series.
The Sardaar Ji franchise began in 2015 with a Punjabi fantasy horror-comedy directed by Rohit Jugraj. Featuring Diljit alongside Mandy Takhar and Neeru Bajwa, the film was one of the pioneers in Punjabi fantasy cinema. Its sequel, released in 2016 and also helmed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan, featured Diljit in a triple role and introduced new faces like Monica Gill and Sonam Bajwa.
For Sardaar Ji 3, director Amar Hundal takes the helm, bringing together Diljit, Neeru Bajwa, and Manav Vij in a fresh adventure. Beyond films, Diljit recently made waves at the Met Gala 2025, proudly showcasing his Punjabi roots in an exquisite ivory and gold sherwani by Prabal Gurung, complemented by a traditional tehmat and a jewel-adorned turban. His look was completed with a stunning multi-layered diamond necklace inspired by the historic Patiala necklace.
Meanwhile, Diljit is also preparing for the second chapter of Border, where he will star alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, adding to his already impressive slate of projects.
