The 8th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) will be held in Kathmandu from March 20 to 24. Two jury members have been selected for the event. Director Dipendra Gauchan will be the head jury for short films and documentaries, while actress Surakshya Panta will be a jury member for feature films. The festival is organized by the Nepal Film and Cultural Foundation.
The event will include discussions and workshops featuring national and international filmmakers, top politicians, and respected social figures.
A total of 87 films from 40 countries have been selected for screening. Many of these films have already been showcased at prestigious festivals such as Busan, Cannes, Locarno, and Berlin.
This year, to embrace technological advancements and offer audiences something new, the festival will introduce a competition category for films created using AI or related to AI themes.
