Television couple Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar are facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. In a recent vlog, Shoaib shared a deeply personal and emotional update about Dipika’s health, revealing that doctors have found a tumor in her left liver.
According to Shoaib, Dipika first experienced abdominal pain while he was away in Chandigarh. Concerned, she consulted their family doctor, who prescribed antibiotics. However, the pain returned a few days later, prompting further medical evaluation. A blood test revealed signs of an infection, after which doctors recommended a CT scan. That scan brought a startling discovery — a sizable tumor in her left liver, reportedly as large as a tennis ball.
Shoaib and Dipika then spent three days in the hospital undergoing a series of tests. Thankfully, none of the reports indicated that the tumor is cancerous. “The doctors have confirmed that surgery is necessary to remove the tumor,” Shoaib informed his viewers, remaining hopeful yet honest about the situation.
He also mentioned that they are now preparing to consult specialists and undergo additional testing. The situation is particularly stressful as Dipika is currently breastfeeding their infant son, Ruhaan, adding another layer of concern for the family.
Dipika Kakar, who gained fame from shows like Sasural Simar Ka and was last seen on Celebrity MasterChef, has taken a step back from work as she focuses on her health and family.
