Saraswati Basic School in Pokhare, Bhojpur Municipality-8, has started a new “e-learning class” to improve students’ digital skills. The school has set up 10 computers along with other necessary devices for this purpose.
Kathmandu-Based Organization Offers Tech Support
The Kathmandu-based organization, Ishwar Mandir, led by former Finance Minister Shankar Prasad Koirala as its patron, donated the computers and required materials to the school. This support helped set up the e-learning room.
Support Extended to Over 18 Schools
Ishwar Mandir has already helped more than 18 schools in the region by providing computers, smart TVs, and other tools to start e-learning classes. Former Minister Koirala said that students now need technical knowledge along with textbooks, which is why their team is supporting public schools with digital learning setups.
Students and Teachers Will Both Benefit
Koirala also added that both students and teachers will benefit from this modern facility. Learning through technology can improve teaching quality and help students become more confident in using digital tools.
Need for Tech-Friendly Education in Public Schools
Pramesh KC, President of Ishwar Mandir, said that public schools need to become more technology-friendly to provide quality education. With the support from the organization, students in community schools can now learn with the help of modern tools and become more capable.
School Promises Quality Computer Education
The school has promised to make full use of the e-learning room and provide quality computer education to students. They plan to ensure this facility is used sustainably and benefits all learners.
Digital Knowledge Now a Must in Schools
Sanket Koirala, General Secretary of Ishwar Mandir, said that it is now impossible to progress without computer knowledge. He emphasized that schools must teach digital skills from an early level. He added, “We cannot move ahead in the digital age with only copy and pencil. E-learning rooms are now necessary even for online classes.”
