Elephants were treated to a picnic at the 18th Elephant and Tourism Festival in Sauraha, Chitwan.
These elephants, who are usually busy giving jungle safaris, got to enjoy a special meal. The picnic included their favorite foods like sugarcane, sweet rice, dragon fruit, green corn, watermelon, pumpkin, and special leafy greens, according to the festival organizer, Ram Kumar Aryal.
The picnic was organized to entertain the elephants and was part of the fun activities at the festival, which also included elephant-friendly games. 35 privately owned elephants participated in the picnic.
Many people came to watch the elephants enjoy their special meal. The elephant picnic was a main attraction of the festival. The festival itself was organized to encourage tourists to stay longer in Chitwan during Christmas and the English New Year.
