Everest Volleyball Club Secures Second Win with Dominant Performance in PM Cup Women’s League

Everest Volleyball Club continued its impressive run in the 9th Prime Minister Cup NVA Women’s Volleyball League with a commanding win over Karnali Province. In today’s opening match at the covered hall of Pokhara Stadium, Everest cruised to a straight-set victory, winning 25-14, 25-7, and 25-20.

Boosted by the presence of three Thai players, Everest showcased strong teamwork and powerful gameplay to secure their second win of the tournament.

Nepal Police Club leads the women’s standings

In the women’s league standings, Nepal Police Club currently sits at the top with 9 points. Tip Top New Diamond Sports Club also has 9 points but trails on set difference. Nepal APF Club follows in third with 6 points.

Later today, Nepal Police Club will take on Tribhuvan Army Club in another exciting women’s match.

Four men’s matches scheduled today

Aside from the women’s matches, today will also see four action-packed games in the men’s category, promising an exciting day of volleyball.

League format and prize details

The tournament, organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association, runs until Jestha 15 (May 28). It features 6 teams in the women’s division and 8 in the men’s.

Each team will face every other team once. The top two teams in the standings will move on to the final, while the third and fourth teams will play for third place.

The winners in both categories will take home NPR 800,000. Runners-up will earn NPR 400,000, while third-place teams will receive NPR 200,000. The MVP of the tournament will be awarded NPR 50,000, and the best players in each position will receive NPR 25,000.

AVC Club Championship qualification

The top two teams in the women’s category will earn the chance to represent Nepal in the upcoming AVC Club Championship, which will be held in Nepal. In the men’s division, the winning team will head to the Maldives to compete in the same prestigious tournament.
