The Department of Water and Meteorological Forecasting has said that temperatures will rise in most parts of the country, except in the high hills and mountain regions.
The temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has also been rising steadily in recent days. The department forecasts that today’s maximum temperature in Kathmandu will range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius.
According to the department, the Terai areas of provinces like Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim are expected to experience extreme heat. There is also a possibility of a heatwave in the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
In the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear, while the rest of the country will have clear weather.
There is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. The high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may also experience light rain or snowfall.
