Two people died in a road accident in Chandranigahapur, Rautahat, when a car hit a motorcycle.
According to police, the accident happened on Sunday morning in Chandrapur Municipality-4. A car hit a motorcycle, killing 60-year-old Baliram Sahani and his 40-year-old daughter Urmila Devi Sahani.
The motorcycle (Na 3 Pa 9512) was heading towards Nijgadh from Chandranigahapur when it was hit by a car (Ba 6 Cha 3526) coming from Hetauda.
Baliram Sahani, who was riding the motorcycle, died on the spot. His daughter Urmila, who was riding with him, died on the way to the hospital, said Rautahat police chief SP Netramani Giri.
After the accident, the car driver, Kumar Pokhrel from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Makwanpur, was taken into police custody for further investigation.
