A fire at a hotel in Milabari Tole, Mechinagar Municipality-12, Jhapa, caused an estimated loss of around 8 lakh rupees.

The fire broke out at around 1 AM on Friday in the Little Safe Fast Food Café, located on the ground floor of a two-story house owned by Damodar Dahal. According to the police, the fire started due to a short circuit in the inverter wires.

The fire destroyed a refrigerator, racks, various brands of alcoholic beverages, cash worth 25,000 rupees, an inverter, and two batteries, as reported by hotel operator Pradeep Limbu. The café was also partially damaged, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.
