Five Dead in Two Separate Jeep Accidents in Bajhang

In two separate jeep accidents in Bajhang, five people, including the drivers, lost their lives.

On Thursday night, four people, including the driver, died in an accident in Sukagad of Talkot Rural Municipality–2, while one person died in another accident at a place called Kotdebal, making a total of five fatalities.

In Sukagad, a jeep with license plate number Se 1 Ja 843 met with an accident, killing 33-year-old driver Shamsher Malla of Rayal, Kedarsyu Rural Municipality–1, 36-year-old Bam Bahadur Dhami of Talkot Rural Municipality–4, 72-year-old Jogeni Devi Dhami, and Bam Bahadur Dhami’s 5-year-old daughter Akriti. Inspector Lokendra Singh Thagunna of the District Police Office provided the information.

The driver and two others died on the spot, while the 5-year-old girl passed away on the way to the district headquarters for treatment. The jeep, traveling from Talkot Rural Municipality to Chainpur, fell about 200 meters off the road on Friday night at around 8:30 PM.

On the same Thursday night, at around 9 PM, another jeep with license plate number Sudurpashchim Province 01–001 Ja 1398 met with an accident in a place called Kotdebal in Bajhang. The 42-year-old jeep driver, Dharma Thapa, died on the spot, according to the police.

This jeep was traveling from Bhattekhola of Mashta Rural Municipality towards Ranada.
