Regular flights have resumed at Suketar Airport after being halted for nearly four months.
Flights had stopped since the last week of Mangsir after two aircraft of Nepal Airlines, which operate at Suketar, faced technical issues. A scheduled flight on Friday was also postponed due to technical problems but was completed today instead.
According to Suketar Airport officials, a plane arrived from Kathmandu with five passengers and returned with six passengers — four men and two women — to Kathmandu.
Due to the long suspension of flights, locals, domestic travelers, and tourists were unable to use air services. A few years ago, Sita Air and Tara Air operated flights during tourist seasons at this airport, but both airlines have now stopped their services.
