Flood Washes Away Diversion on BP Highway, Strands Vehicles and Halts Traffic

Due to continuous rainfall, the BP Highway remains obstructed after the diversion at Mamti, in the Roshi River area, was washed away by a flood on Monday night.

According to the Area Police Office, Mangaltar, efforts to reopen the highway have been ongoing since Monday night.

Inspector Ishwar Karki of the Area Police Office, Mangaltar, stated that the highway was blocked after the diversion in Mamti of Roshi Rural Municipality was swept away.

A one-way passage has been opened at Boksikuna in Roshi-9, Mangaltar, where the diversion was washed away by the flood. The police reported that 17 stranded passengers on the highway were rescued.

Vehicles coming from the east have been halted at Khurkot and Nepal Thok, while those heading east from Kathmandu have been stopped at Bhakundebesi.
