Four Dead in Air Ambulance Helicopter Crash in Turkey

A tragic helicopter crash in Turkey’s Aegean province of Mugla has claimed the lives of four people on board. The air ambulance helicopter, operated by the health ministry, collided with a hospital building during takeoff on Sunday, reportedly due to heavy fog, according to local broadcaster NTV.

The victims included the pilot, a technician, a doctor, and a healthcare worker. Mugla Governor Idris Akbiyik confirmed the crash and the fatalities.

Separate Traffic Accident Injures 18

In another unfortunate incident, 18 people were injured in a collision between a truck and a passenger bus in western Turkey. The accident occurred near Dinar District in Afyonkarahisar province.

Among the injured were the bus driver and 17 passengers. Emergency responders, including police and medical teams, rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Both incidents highlight a day of sorrow and challenges for emergency services in Turkey. Investigations into the causes of these accidents are ongoing.
