Four Indian nationals have been arrested with a large quantity of illegal drugs in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality–2, Makwanpur. The arrest took place on Saturday night during a routine security check conducted by the Armed Police Force (APF).
According to police, the Indian-registered Scorpio vehicle (BR 05 PA 9093) was heading from Hetauda toward Kathmandu via the Hetauda–Bhimphedi–Kulekhani road when it was stopped on suspicion. Upon inspection, officers found drugs hidden in three false compartments of the vehicle.
The seized drugs include:
- 2,400 tablets of Nofin
- 2,400 tablets of Promethazine Hydrochloride
- 2,004 vials of Diazepam
- 5 capsules of Tramadol Hydrochloride
The arrested individuals are:
- Sheikh Sapur (43)
- Nisav Alam (19)
- Osim Ahmad (25)
- Sheikh Gajur (24)
All four suspects are residents of India. The APF team handed over the arrested men, the seized drugs, and the vehicle to the Area Police Office in Bhimphedi for further investigation and legal action.
