Police arrested four Indian men with 5.5 kilograms of silver in Kathmandu.
The arrested men are 42-year-old Eknath Dashrath Khadekar, 19-year-old Vaibhav Ghutuged, 29-year-old Samrat Yadav, and 40-year-old Dinesh Meheti. They are from Solapur in Maharashtra, India, and were living in Nardevi, Kathmandu.
The police got information that illegal gold and silver trading was happening in a house in Kathmandu. Based on this tip, they caught the men. The police team from the Kathmandu District Police Office and Janasewa Police Station found 247.72 grams of gold, 5.6 kilograms of silver, and 1.075 million rupees in cash with them.
The men have been sent to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office for further investigation and action.
