Tanahun police have taken four youths into custody on charges of assaulting a police officer. They are accused of attacking police personnel Sunil Karki, who was stationed at the temporary police post in the tourist area of Manungkot, located in Vyas Municipality-5, Tanahun.
According to the police, those arrested include Roshan Gurung, James Gurung, and Sujal Gurung from Vyas-4, and Sudip BK from Vyas-1. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Thapa stated that the incident occurred around 2 AM on Saturday night when a clash broke out in Manungkot, leading to an attack on the police officer deployed for security.
DSP Thapa further informed that an investigation has been initiated against them under the charge of indecent behavior, with a five-day remand granted on Sunday.
