G-Dragon has unexpectedly cancelled his upcoming Bangkok concert, leaving fans angry and disappointed. The show was part of his much-hyped ‘Übermensch‘ world tour and was set for August 2 at Rajamangala National Stadium.
The sudden cancellation was announced on July 11 by his agency, Galaxy Corporation. In an official statement, the company said, “We deeply regret to inform you that the Bangkok concert scheduled for August 2 has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been waiting, and we look forward to meeting our Thai fans again in the future.”

No reason was given for the cancellation, which has only fueled frustration among fans. Many had already booked travel, hotels, and taken leave from work, only to be left without compensation or answers.
This isn’t the first time Galaxy Corporation has faced criticism. The tour has had issues from the start—beginning with a 73-minute delay at the kickoff concert in Seoul. In other cities like Macau, Sydney, and Hong Kong, fans complained about cramped venues and a packed schedule with three back-to-back shows.
Recently, fans even launched truck protests, accusing the agency of poor planning and focusing more on promoting its CEO, Choi Yong Ho, than supporting G-Dragon. Some believe these efforts are aimed at boosting the company’s image ahead of a potential stock market listing.
Now, fans are demanding transparency, accountability, and proper artist-centered management going forward.
