Vinod calls Satish to inform him about their visit on Sunday to discuss wedding arrangements and finalize the match. Satish responds warmly, extending an invitation to meet Juhi and speaking highly of her. Vinod assures him that once they meet her, they will appreciate her as well. Unbeknownst to them, Neil overhears their conversation.
After the call, Vinod informs Neil that the meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. Neil, hesitant, asks if his presence is necessary. Vinod reminds him of his promise to marry whoever the family chooses, emphasizing the trust they place in him. Caught between duty and desire, Neil feels conflicted. He knows obeying his parents would mean suppressing his true feelings, yet following his heart might lead to disappointment. Meanwhile, Teju completes washing clothes and sits down for breakfast, but Lakshmi interrupts, ordering her to grind spices first. As Teju works, blisters form on her hands, yet she finds solace in singing a song, remembering her father, Mohit. Her voice reaches Aditi and the others, but Lakshmi, furious, hurls a plate in anger and demands that she stop. When Aditi questions her reaction, Lakshmi bitterly reveals that Mohit always longed for a wife who could sing, which is why he never truly loved her. She declares that as long as she is in the house, Teju will never be allowed to sing.
Lakshmi then commands everyone to return to work. Aditi, distressed, points out that Teju already shoulders most of the household chores and now suffers from painful blisters. In response, Lakshmi slaps Aditi for defending Teju, warning her not to interfere. Aditi pleads with her not to harm Teju, but Lakshmi remains resolute, demanding complete obedience. Seeing Teju’s injured hands, Juhi timidly offers to grind the spices, but Lakshmi sternly forbids it, making it clear that she will not tolerate defiance.
