Google has added a new feature called “Manage Subscriptions” to the Gmail app. This feature helps you easily remove unwanted emails that fill up your inbox and consume your free 15 GB Google storage.
Every Gmail user gets 15 GB of free storage, but it fills up quickly — mostly because of useless promotional emails. Many users unknowingly subscribe to newsletters while visiting websites. Some sites even auto-subscribe you without permission. These unwanted emails slowly eat up your valuable storage space.
With the new Manage Subscriptions feature, you can now unsubscribe from all these useless emails in just a few taps. This helps you free up your Gmail storage and avoid buying extra space from Google.
To use this feature, first update your Gmail app. Then open it and tap the menu icon (≡) in the top-left corner. Scroll down until you find the Manage Subscriptions option. Tap it, and you’ll see a list of all the websites sending you regular emails. You’ll also see an unsubscribe icon next to each one. Tap it to remove those email subscriptions easily.
This smart feature not only helps declutter your inbox but also protects your free storage. You may not need to pay for extra space if you clean up your Gmail using this tool.
Google is slowly rolling out this update to users. If you don’t see it yet, make sure your Gmail app is updated and check again later.
