Actor Gulki Joshi, best known for her roles in Phir Subah Hogi and Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja, recently shared a terrifying experience from her past. She revealed that she narrowly escaped a molestation attempt during a visit to present an award to cricket legend MS Dhoni. The incident, which took place several years ago, left her shaken, but she was ultimately saved by quick-thinking security personnel.
Recalling the traumatic event, Gulki opened up during an interview on the YouTube channel Filmymantra. She explained, “This was a long time ago, during the IPL. I had gone to Ranchi to present an award to Mr. Dhoni. At the time, my show Nadaan Parinde was quite popular, and I was invited to the event because of its success. The moment I stepped outside, I was completely swarmed by the crowd. It wasn’t just excitement—it became overwhelming, and I genuinely felt in danger. The crowd’s pushing and shoving made me fear for my safety, and the terrifying thought crossed my mind that something worse could happen to me.”
As the situation escalated, Gulki expressed her deep concern, but fortunately, security came to her aid just in time. “They managed to pull me away from the crowd and quickly took me to safety. That was the only time I’ve ever been so scared in a crowd. It really rattled me,” she shared.
Despite the terrifying experience, Gulki went on to meet MS Dhoni, and the encounter left a lasting impression on her. “When I met him, he was everything you’d imagine a hero to be—humble, warm, and grounded. Even after a tough match, he patiently interacted with each fan, took pictures, and made everyone feel valued. It reminded me that true greatness isn’t just about skill—it’s about humility, too,” she said.
Currently, Gulki is appearing in Hasratein 2, showcasing her continued dedication to her craft.
