Seoul, South Korea NewJeans member Hanni has reportedly declined to sign visa extension documents, preventing her from continuing entertainment activities in South Korea.
According to Korean media reports on February 11 (KST), Hanni, an Australian-Vietnamese citizen, refused to sign paperwork that ADOR, her former agency, sent for her E-6 visa renewal. The visa has since expired, barring her from working in Korea.
This development occurs amid NewJeans’ ongoing legal battle with ADOR following their rebranding as NJZ. The dispute has also stalled her ability to sign with a new agency. ADOR declined to comment on the matter.
As a result, NJZ may shift their promotional efforts overseas, with a Hong Kong concert and a new single set for release in March.
