MI Playing XI Also Penalized after Hardik Pandya fined
Not only was Hardik Pandya fined, but the rest of MI’s playing XI, including the impact player and concussion substitute, were also hit with penalties. Each player was fined either Rs 6 lakh or 25% of their match fee, whichever is lesser. These fines were announced in an official statement by the IPL Governing Council.
Ashish Nehra Fined for Arguing with Officials
GT head coach Ashish Nehra was also fined 25% of his match fee and received a demerit point after Hardik Pandya fined. He admitted to a Level 1 offence under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct for behavior against the spirit of the game. Nehra was seen arguing with match officials during the game.
