Harry Styles has officially received approval to build a lavish £30 million mansion in Hampstead, North London. The plans have been sanctioned by Barnet Council, but with a unique environmental stipulation – the singer must implement measures to support local wildlife, including great tits, hedgehogs, and bats.

Environmental Conditions for the Mansion
In line with the approval, the 31-year-old former One Direction star is required to install various wildlife-friendly features. These include bat boxes, insect hotels, hedgehog gateways, and log piles to accommodate protected species in the area. If he fails to meet the May deadline for these environmental improvements, he could face the costly process of redoing surveys.
Restoring Historical Charm
As part of the project, Harry Styles intends to merge two listed buildings, which were previously separated, to create a unified mega-mansion. This involves restoring the buildings to their original design and removing mid-20th-century extensions and partitions. The house will also see the reinstatement of a top floor that was removed in the 1950s.
The plans reveal that Harry Styles’s new home will retain historical elements while also offering modern luxury. The building will reflect the country house design intended for high-status families over two centuries, with a focus on the original development and layout of the estate.
Lavish Features in the New Mansion
The proposed mansion will include a luxurious master suite complete with four dressing rooms, a private lounge, gallery space, and an indoor patio. The ground floor will offer plenty of rooms for entertaining, including a large TV room, a gallery, and a new conservatory. The estate’s lower ground floor will feature a basement cinema, a playroom, a plunge pool, steam room, sauna, and gym – designed with the star’s VIP friends in mind.
Neighborhood Support and Construction Plans
The renovation is expected to take around two years, during which Harry and his contractors have committed to minimizing noise disturbances for the local community. The plans were revealed to neighbors through three preview evenings, and the feedback has been positive. Among those living nearby are several celebrities, including Lewis Capaldi, Cat Deeley, Patrick Kielty, and James Corden, all of whom have not raised any objections.
Harry Styles’ Recent Activities
While Harry has not released new music since Harry’s House in 2022, which debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., his focus now seems to be on his personal and professional ventures, including acting and this exciting new home project.
