The Health Insurance Board has announced a vacancy for 180 medical officers on a contract basis for 90 days. Qualified doctors are invited to apply within seven days.
The board faces a backlog of over NPR 1.6 billion in pending payments due to delays in the review process, which has not progressed for almost 11 months since last August. The newly hired medical officers will help speed up this review and clearance of pending claims.
Currently, more than 25 medical officers, nurses, and pharmacists are working on these reviews. Recently, the Health Services Department decided to send over 30 scholarship-awarded medical and nursing officers to assist the board.
Applicants must have an MBBS degree and will receive benefits according to Nepal government’s Level 8 scale. The board urges eligible candidates to submit their applications promptly within the deadline.
