The official platform ‘Hello Sarkar’, made to hear public complaints, has been inactive on social media since its website was hacked. The platform’s social media accounts stopped posting updates after March 25, 2025 (Chaitra 12, 2081).
Regular Updates Stopped After Website Shutdown
Before the hack, Hello Sarkar was actively sharing daily updates on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). These posts included data about the number of complaints received, forwarded to departments, and solved. After the website went offline, the social media posts also stopped.
Website Has Been Down Since Early March
The Hello Sarkar website has been down since February 28, 2025 (Fagun 28). On the same day, a post on X stated there was a technical issue with the site. However, no detailed explanation was provided about the nature of the problem.
Hackers Claim to Have Stolen Sensitive Data
Even after announcing technical problems, posts continued on social media until March 25. Then on March 26, a report came out claiming that a Russian hacker had hacked Hello Sarkar and stolen sensitive data, which was allegedly being sold on the dark web.
No Recovery Yet
Since then, there has been no update from the website or social media. Both remain inactive, and there is no official statement about when the platform will return to normal operation.
