Help Nepal Sports Club and Gandaki Province Shine in 9th PM Cup NVA Volleyball League

In the ongoing 9th PM Cup NVA Volleyball League, the defending champions Help Nepal Sports Club and Gandaki Province have both extended their winning streaks to four consecutive victories in the men’s category. Meanwhile, in the women’s category, Nepal Police Club and New Diamond Sports Club continue their strong performances with three straight wins each.

Men’s League: Help Nepal and Gandaki Province Dominate

At the Pokhara Covered Hall on Sunday, Help Nepal Sports Club defeated Koshi Province in straight sets, winning 25-21, 25-20, and 25-22. With this victory, Help Nepal remains unbeaten after four matches and tops the points table with 12 points. Koshi Province, on the other hand, suffered their third defeat and has only 3 points from four matches.

Meanwhile, the home team Gandaki Province also secured a straight-sets win against Manimukunda Volleyball Club, who featured three Indian players. Gandaki, supported by three Pakistani players, won 27-25, 25-21, and 25-18. Like Help Nepal, Gandaki now has 12 points from four wins but ranks second due to a lower set difference.

In other men’s matches, Nepal Police Club claimed their third win by beating Sudurpashchim Province 25-19, 25-17, and 25-18. Police have 9 points from four games and sit third on the leaderboard.

In the departmental derby, Tribhuvan Army Club beat Nepal APF Club in straight sets (25-13, 25-20, 25-22), marking their second consecutive victory. Army now has 5 points from four matches, while APF remains with 3 points after four games and three losses.

Women’s League: Police and New Diamond Lead

In women’s volleyball on Sunday, Nepal Police Club and New Diamond Sports Club recorded their third consecutive wins. In a departmental derby, Police defeated Nepal APF 3-1. Police took the first set 25-19, while APF bounced back to win the second set narrowly at 26-24. However, Police dominated the next two sets 25-18 and 25-21 to seal the victory. Police leads the women’s table with 9 points from three matches. APF is third with 6 points.

New Diamond Sports Club, after dropping the first set 21-25 to Tribhuvan Army Club, made a strong comeback by winning the next three sets 25-14, 25-21, and 25-21. New Diamond now shares 9 points with Police but holds second place based on points. Meanwhile, Army suffered their third consecutive defeat.
