Now, the wait for Krrish 4 is on, and the makers have finally dropped some exciting news. Not only will Hrithik reprise his role as the beloved superhero, but he will also take on the responsibility of directing the film.
For those who don’t know, the Krrish series was initially directed by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, who helmed the previous installments: Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, and Krrish 3. In a heartwarming shift, Rakesh has decided to pass the directorial baton to his son, Hrithik, marking a new chapter for the franchise.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rakesh Roshan expressed his pride, saying, “I am handing over the directorial reins of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik, who has been deeply connected with this franchise from the very beginning. He has a clear and ambitious vision to carry Krrish’s journey forward and connect with audiences for many more years.”
Rakesh further added, “It fills me with pride to see Hrithik take on the role of director for a film that has always been close to our hearts as a family. Krrish has captured the imagination of audiences globally, and Hrithik will now continue the superhero saga, elevating the vision I had created many years ago to new heights.”
Krrish 4 will be produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, with the movie expected to begin production in early 2026.
The Krrish franchise has boasted a star-studded cast, with the first film featuring Priyanka Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha, Sharat Saxena, and Manini Mishra.
