A husband and wife died in a motorcycle accident in Ratuwamai, Morang.
According to the District Traffic Police Office, Morang, the accident occurred at 10 PM on Friday at Tribhuvan Chowk in Ward No. 6 of Ratuwamai Municipality, along the Ambari inner road section. The motorcycle, bearing registration number Ko 9 Pa 7295, crashed, resulting in the death of two individuals.
The motorcycle, which was heading from Ambari toward Urlabari, lost control and crashed into an electric pole.
The deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Som Tudu, the rider from Kalyanpur, Ward No. 1 of Ratuwamai, and his 35-year-old wife, Bamani Hemram.
Immediately after the accident, locals rushed both of them to Rangeli Hospital for treatment. However, police reported that they died at the hospital. Their bodies have been kept at Rangeli Hospital for post-mortem.
Police suspect that the accident occurred due to high speed during nighttime.
