Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Choreographer Woo Tae Confirm Year-Long Romance

Entertainment insiders revealed on July 1 (KST) that beloved actress Hyeri and talented choreographer Woo Tae have been quietly dating for over a year—sparking hearts both on and off the screen.

Their love story began during the filming of the 2023 movie Victory, where Hyeri shone as the passionate leader of a rookie cheerleading squad known as the Millennium Girls. Fans of the film will remember her spirited performances to iconic tracks like Diva’s “Why Are You Calling Me” and Deux’s “Turn Around and Look at Me.” What many didn’t know at the time was that the man behind those sharp, energetic dance moves was none other than Woo Tae, who, alongside fellow dancer Kinki, choreographed the film’s dynamic routines.

According to a source close to the couple, “Filming took place in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, where Hyeri and Woo Tae first connected during choreography rehearsals. After wrapping up, they continued to meet up in Seoul, growing closer and displaying genuine affection.” Though they kept their relationship under wraps for months, those who know them well say the pair have been together nearly a year.

An insider added, “Their relationship is built on respect and support. They’ve been a rock for each other through tough times, which has deepened their bond.”

Hyeri’s journey began in 2010 as a member of the girl group Girl’s Day before she blossomed into a respected actress, starring in both films and TV dramas. Earlier this year, she captivated audiences with Friendly Rivalry and is currently touring across Asia with a fan meeting series.

Meanwhile, Woo Tae gained widespread recognition as a dancer and choreographer, particularly after his standout appearances on Mnet’s hit dance competition Street Man Fighter in 2022.

Together, Hyeri and Woo Tae seem to be crafting their own beautiful rhythm—both in dance and in love.
