An international science conference has started in Nepal. Organized by the Nepal Materials Science Society, the event is being held at Himalaya Hotel, Lalitpur from Thursday.
International Science Conference Opening Ceremony
The conference was officially inaugurated by Dr. Dilip Subba, the Vice-Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). Several national and international institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Sudurpaschim University, NIMS, WPI, MANA, Amrit Science Campus, and Pulchowk Campus, have co-organized the event.
Scientists from Around the World
The conference has drawn scientists from Nepal, Japan, the USA, India, China, Switzerland, Australia, and other countries. Over 114 scientific presentations will take place over three days, covering six key topics.

Who Is Participating?
The event includes vice-chancellors of various universities, scientists from different countries, researchers, and students. The goal is to create a platform where Nepalese researchers can gain international research experience without leaving the country.
The Nepal Materials Science Society stated in a press release that the conference will help enhance Nepal’s scientific research and innovation capabilities.
