Hamas released four female hostages, after which Israel freed 200 Palestinian prisoners.
On the seventh day of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, Hamas released four Israeli female hostages on Saturday. They were taken captive by Hamas during the attack on October 7, 2023.
The freed individuals, who had been held captive for a long time, have now returned to Israel. In exchange, Israel released 200 Palestinian prisoners.
This is the second group released by Hamas. Earlier, on the day the ceasefire agreement came into effect, Hamas freed three women last Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Israeli government accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement by not releasing its citizen, Arbel Yehud.
Additionally, Israel stated that it would not allow displaced Palestinians to return to northern Gaza, which was stipulated under the ceasefire agreement.
In response to Israel’s dissatisfaction, Hamas clarified that Arbel Yehud is alive and will be released next week.
