The 15th International Invitation Itahari Gold Cup will begin on February 15, 2025 (Falgun 3, 2081) at Itahari Stadium. Organized annually by Rastriya Jagriti Club, Itahari, the tournament will feature eight teams from Nepal and India. The final match is scheduled for February 22 (Falgun 10).
Fixture
The tournament will follow a knockout format, starting with these matches:
- February 15 – Rastriya Jagriti Club, Itahari vs. United Kurseong FC, India
- February 16 – Sagarmatha Youth Club, Morang vs. NRT FC, Kathmandu
- February 17 – Machhindra FC, Kathmandu vs. Jhapa XI FC, Jhapa
- February 18 – Church Boys United, Lalitpur vs. Dharan FC, Dharan
The semifinals will be played on February 20 and 21, leading up to the final on February 22.
Prize and Rewards
The main sponsor of the tournament is Control Lubricants. The winners will receive Rs. 10 lakh, while the runners-up will get Rs. 5 lakh. The best player of the tournament will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh, and the Man of the Match for each game will receive Rs. 10,000. The best players in different categories will get Rs. 20,000 each.
The top goal scorer will be rewarded with Rs. 25,000, while the emerging player of the tournament will receive an LED TV. The estimated budget for the event is Rs. 71.5 lakh.
Previous Champions
Church Boys United won the last edition of the Itahari Gold Cup, claiming the title along with a Rs. 10 lakh prize. Before them, Sagarmatha Youth Club lifted the trophy in the two previous editions.
