BTSJ-Hope has returned with a bang—this time with a sizzling new single, Killin’ It Girl, featuring American rapper GloRilla. Released on June 13, the track has quickly become a global anthem, energizing fans with its high-octane music video and Hobi’s fearless, edgy performance. The song marks a new era for the 31-year-old artist, who is fresh out of military service and back to doing what he does best—electrifying the stage.

A Show-Stopping Comeback

J-Hope’s grand return to the spotlight reached its peak during the finale of his Hope On The Stage concert in Seoul. The live performance of Killin’ It Girl wasn’t just a visual and musical spectacle—it was an emotional moment, with his fellow BTS members cheering him on from the audience. The camaraderie and brotherhood among the bandmates didn’t go unnoticed by ARMYs across the world, turning the concert into a viral sensation.

The song’s popularity continues to soar, crossing 19 million YouTube views and climbing global music charts at breakneck speed.

Billboard Brilliance

On the Billboard front, Killin’ It Girl made a thunderous debut. It entered the Billboard Global 200 at No. 3 with an impressive 55.1 million streams and 43,000 copies sold worldwide. The track also hit No. 2 on the Billboard Global Excl. US Chart and secured a spot at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

With this, J-Hope becomes the first Asian rapper to break into the Top 3 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts in 2025—a historic feat for any artist, let alone one making a solo comeback.

This also marks J-Hope’s first solo top 10 on the Billboard Global 200, joining other BTS members who’ve already made their mark: Jungkook (5), Jimin and Jin (3 each), V (2), and Suga (1). Meanwhile, GloRilla also celebrates her first-ever top 10 appearance on the same chart with this collaboration.

Viral Sensation in the K-pop World

The buzz around Killin’ It Girl hasn’t stayed limited to music charts—it’s taken over social media too. The track’s addictive beat and hook step have inspired a viral dance challenge embraced by K-pop idols and fans alike. ATEEZ’s San, TWICE’s Sana, and ZEROBASEONE’s Hanyujin are among the big names who joined the trend, further solidifying the song’s presence in the K-pop landscape.

Heartfelt Message to ARMYs

In a touching message shared on Weverse, J-Hope poured his heart out to fans. Reflecting on the effort and emotion behind his latest project, he wrote:

“When I think about who’s watching, who’s listening, who’s giving their love and attention… in the end, it’s you guys—our ARMY. Of course, it’s obvious! But I remind myself not to take that love for granted.”

Having completed his military duty in October 2024, J-Hope’s return is not just a musical comeback—it’s a celebration of resilience, creativity, and unwavering fan support.

With Killin’ It Girl, J-Hope isn’t just back—he’s back at the top, and he’s absolutely killin’ it.
