Shim Jaehyun, better known as Jaehyun and formerly the youngest member of the K-pop boy group F.ABLE, has tragically passed away at the age of 23. His death was first reported by acquaintances on June 29 and later confirmed through online tributes from fans and former groupmates.

It has since come to light that Jaehyun had been quietly battling leukemia for some time. His illness was not made public during his life, leaving many fans shocked to learn about his condition only after his passing. Further details surrounding his diagnosis and treatment have not been disclosed, as his family and close ones continue to mourn privately.

Born on April 7, 2002, Jaehyun debuted with F.ABLE in June 2020 under Haeirum Entertainment. As the group’s maknae and a vocalist, he quickly became known for his soft demeanor and radiant energy on stage. Although F.ABLE didn’t achieve mainstream recognition, they built a devoted fanbase who admired the group’s unity and dedication.

During their time together, F.ABLE released several digital singles including “Burn It Up” and “Run Run Run.” However, by mid-2023, the group had become inactive. Later, three of the five original members re-debuted in a new group named ENPHAZE, signaling the quiet dissolution of F.ABLE. Jaehyun did not participate in the new project and gradually stepped out of the public eye.

In the wake of his death, former bandmate Hojun took to social media to express his grief, sharing a touching message of remembrance and regret for having lost touch. Fans also came together online to celebrate Jaehyun’s legacy, revisiting his performances and sharing memories of his short but impactful career.
