In the 26th February 2025 episode of Jagriti, Jagriti’s past unfolds as secrets resurface, leading to a tale of revenge, hidden identities, and unexpected twists. Bhairav’s quest for justice collides with Kalikant’s dark past, while a shocking ring swap stirs chaos. Love, betrayal, and destiny intertwine as Jagriti’s true origins threaten to change everything. Will fate lead to justice or another heartbreaking deception?
The episode begins with Kalikant proudly announcing that his two sons are about to embark on a significant new chapter in their lives. As his eyes fall on Suraj’s hand, he is taken aback by the sight of a familiar ring—the very one he had set aside for Jagriti. Meanwhile, Sapna, sliding the same ring onto her own finger, expresses her gratitude to Suraj while admiring its beauty. Kalikant then directs Akash to place the engagement ring on Jagriti’s finger, and Akash complies. The guests look on in admiration as Sapna places a ring on Suraj’s hand, followed by Jagriti doing the same for Akash. With a warm smile, Kalikant blesses both his sons.
Stepping away from the celebrations, Bhairav finds himself lost in thought as he gazes at Malati’s photograph. Memories flood his mind—memories of the past when Kalikant mercilessly ended Malati’s life for helping the Chitta people. A flashback reveals the truth: Malati had gathered irrefutable evidence against Kalikant, exposing his exploitation of the Chitta people for his illegal operations. She had taken this evidence to the police, demanding action. But before justice could be served, Kalikant intervened, abducting Malati and ultimately shooting her in cold blood, leaving her to die.
Bhairav reflects on that fateful day, tormented by the thought that if he had arrived just a little sooner, he might have saved her. Another flashback unfolds, showing Malati regaining consciousness for a brief moment—just long enough to reveal that it was Kalikant who had shot her for standing by the Chitta people. Bhairav swore revenge, but for two years, his efforts to seek justice through the legal system were met with failure, as Kalikant’s influence shielded him from any consequences. Then, fate intervened, leading Bhairav to Jagriti.
During a journey, Bhairav stumbles upon an unconscious young girl on the roadside. Locals inform him that she was found floating in the water. After rushing her to a hospital, he uncovers her true identity—she is a Chitta, and her parents had been killed by none other than Kalikant. Determined to protect her and use her as a means to seek justice, Bhairav decides to give her a new identity, transforming her into Jagriti Bahl. From that moment, he vows that she will one day rise to avenge not only her family but also the Chitta people.
In the present, Kalikant gathers his family to inform them of Bhairav’s conditions for the upcoming wedding. The first condition states that there will be no fire in the havan, as Jagriti harbors a deep fear of flames. The second prohibits her from entering the kitchen after marriage. The third forbids anyone, including Jagriti, from wearing a red saree, as the sight of it terrifies her. Sapna initially protests these conditions but ultimately yields to Kalikant’s insistence. He then instructs Suraj to personally deliver the shagun to Jagriti’s house the following day, and Suraj agrees.
Meanwhile, Rohan and Jagriti sit together reminiscing over old photographs. As Jagriti flips through the album, she realizes something peculiar—there are no pictures of her before the age of nine. This discovery leaves her puzzled. Elsewhere, Bhairav examines an old childhood photograph of Jagriti, deciding to confront Kalikant with it to expose her true origins as a Chitta. However, before he can act, a knock on the door distracts him, and the photo accidentally slips out of the window.
The next day, Suraj arrives at Jagriti’s house with the shagun. Surprised by his presence, Jagriti questions him, prompting Suraj to explain that he is there to deliver the shagun and also to apologize for his past behavior. Later, as Jagriti admires her engagement ring, she compliments Akash on his choice, only for Suraj to reveal a surprising truth—the ring was originally meant for Sapna. Stunned, Jagriti asks how it ended up on her finger. Suraj explains that Sapna had exchanged the ring because she preferred the solitaire diamond. Suman, overhearing the conversation, playfully warns them to be careful, joking that if Sapna could switch rings, she might even switch brides, leading to a mix-up where Jagriti and Suraj end up together. Laughing at the absurdity of the idea, both Jagriti and Suraj dismiss it, insisting that such a twist could never happen.
