In the Jamai No. 1 episode on 5th March 2025, Neel grapples with his gratitude towards Riddhi and his family’s struggles. He plans a special gesture to thank Riddhi, but family conflicts escalate. Tensions rise as Neel defends his parents against accusations. Meanwhile, Kanchan’s manipulations threaten to disrupt Neel’s relationships.
Neel is deeply grateful to Riddhi for saving Manjari, and he wants to do something special for her as a token of his thanks. He asks Parameswari for suggestions, and she gives him an idea. Neel decides to bake a chocolate orange cake himself, as he learns that it’s Riddhi’s favorite. When she walks in and questions him about the cake, he tells her he’s making it to show his appreciation, refusing to let the chef handle it. Riddhi playfully tells him to clean his face first, and when Neel struggles to do so, she steps in to help him. The scene is accompanied by the song Apna Bana Le….
Riddhi then brings up the topic of Manjari needing counseling, though Neel insists that Manjari says she’s fine. Riddhi, however, notices that Manjari seems scared and reminds Neel that she went through a lot. When Neel resists the idea of bringing a doctor home, Riddhi volunteers to take care of it herself. She jokes that if the cake doesn’t turn out well, she’ll become the boss’s wife, teasing Neel. Neel, amused, asks if she’s trying to become his wife, but she leaves without answering.
Later, Kanchan asks Neel why he’s making the cake, and Neel explains that it’s for Riddhi. After Kanchan leaves, Neel calls Shashank to thank him for letting his parents stay at his house. Unbeknownst to Neel, Kanchan overhears this conversation and makes a call of her own.
Things quickly take a turn when Shashank calls Neel in a panic, urging him to come over immediately as his parents are throwing Sumati, Gangadhar, and Manjari out. Neel rushes over, and Riddhi notices his departure. Meanwhile, Kanchan is pleased with how everything is unfolding.
At Shashank’s house, his parents are in the midst of kicking out Sumati, Gangadhar, and Manjari. A shocked Sumati demands to know what’s happening. Shashank tries to intervene, but his father pushes Gangadhar, only for Neel to show up just in time to catch him. Neel stands firm, declaring that no one can insult Gangadhar like that.
Things escalate when Shanti accuses Sumati of stealing money from her, money that Sumati had saved for her daughter’s wedding. Sumati denies it, but Shanti insists. As insults fly, Neel grabs Shashank’s father’s collar in anger. Watching from the sidelines, Kanchan is pleased with how things are unfolding, while Kamlesh applauds her.
Just as Neel is about to strike Shashank’s father, Riddhi intervenes, stopping him. Neel defends his family, asserting that they would never steal. However, a neighbor comments that it’s no surprise that Neel’s family would resort to theft, given how Neel has abandoned them. This only fuels Neel’s anger, but Shanti insists that they can no longer stay in her house. Shashank’s father mocks Neel, calling him a ghar jamai—a son-in-law living with his wife’s family. Riddhi steps in to defend Neel, but Sumati, blaming Neel for the family’s current plight, makes things more tense.
Amid the chaos, Manjari reassures her parents that Neel has arranged for them to stay in a new house, showing them the key. Gangadhar, in a gesture of gratitude, hands the key to Neel, symbolizing his trust and decision. Meanwhile, Kanchan watches with satisfaction, hoping that Riddhi won’t interfere with her plans.
