In the 8th March 2025 episode of Jamai No. 1, Kanchan refuses to accept Neel’s family, leading to a tense clash with Riddhi. Riddhi remains steadfast in supporting her in-laws, challenging Kanchan’s authority. Neel stands by Riddhi, ensuring his parents’ comfort despite opposition. Drama unfolds as traditions, emotions, and relationships are put to the test.
Kanchan firmly asserts her authority over the house, refusing to allow Neel’s family to stay. Riddhi supports her stance but, holding Sumati’s and Gangadhar’s hands, declares her decision to leave with her in-laws. Neel, accepting the situation, announces that Riddhi’s bidaai will take place immediately, calling it Lord Shiva’s will and chanting “Har Har Mahadev,” while Parameswari looks on with a knowing smile.
Kanchan, distressed, pleads with Riddhi, asking if leaving them is truly so simple. Riddhi acknowledges the pain but insists she cannot turn her back on her in-laws. Resolute, she proceeds with Neel’s parents, with Neel and Manjari following closely. Suddenly, Kanchan calls Riddhi back, admitting she cannot bear to live without her, as she has become both a necessity and a habit. Overcome with emotion, she retreats inside. Neel reassures Riddhi that he will handle Kanchan and follows her inside.
Inside, Kanchan, visibly shaken, drinks water but, in a fit of anger, hurls the glass away. Neel catches it mid-air and confronts her, stating that not everything can always go her way. He reminds her that she has twice thrown his parents out, yet now Riddhi has brought them back. Warning that this is just the beginning, he leaves her fuming. Kanchan challenges him, demanding to know his next move. He cryptically replies that she has no idea. Spotting Riddhi, Neel suddenly falls to his knees before Kanchan, dramatically pleading for her to control her anger, as he is ready to take his family and leave. Kanchan, unimpressed, questions his theatrics.
Riddhi implores Kanchan to reconsider, urging her to allow Neel’s family to stay for her sake. She reminds her that they have not eaten and suggests they dine together. However, Neel chooses to take his family to their room, assuring them he will arrange it to their comfort. Sumati, however, insists it is unnecessary.
As Neel’s family gathers in the dining area, Simran prepares to serve food, but Kamlesh taunts her. Parameswari tells Sumati they should be grateful that their children prioritize relationships. Meanwhile, Pratham watches Manjari intently. Riddhi escorts Kanchan to the table and personally serves her food. Sumati refuses to eat, prompting Neel to fetch a tiffin from the temple. Sumati and Gangadhar perform puja before eating.
Annoyed by the display, Kanchan lashes out, scolding them for ruining her expensive dining table. Sumati, feeling disrespected, decides to forgo her meal, but Riddhi reassures Kanchan that their customs are an integral part of their lives. Dismissing their traditions, Kanchan storms out, instructing her driver to take her to a restaurant. Before she can leave, Neel arrives with a plate of food, dismisses the driver, and joins her in the car. When Kanchan protests that she does not wish to eat, Neel playfully responds that the food is for him and begins eating. Furious, she threatens to attack him just as Riddhi arrives, witnessing the tense yet familiar exchange.
