Jamshedpur FC secured a 2-0 victory over NorthEast United FC in Shillong on Sunday, March 30, 2025, to advance to the semi-finals of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. The away side took a 1-0 lead at halftime, with goals from Stephen Eze and Javi Hernandez.

The match started with Jamshedpur FC taking the lead in the 29th minute. A long throw from Ashutosh Mehta found Stephen Eze, who scored with a quick foot adjustment from a difficult angle, putting Jamshedpur ahead. NorthEast United tried to respond, with Buanthanglun Samte sending in a long ball that forced a save from goalkeeper Albino Gomes early in the second half.

Despite being reduced to 10 men after Mobashir Rahman was sent off in the 88th minute for a reckless challenge, Jamshedpur FC sealed the win in injury time. Javi Hernandez, assisted by Ritwik Das, scored the second goal, securing their spot in the semi-finals.

Jamshedpur FC, with five away wins this season, will now face the League Shield winners, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, in the upcoming semi-finals. NorthEast United’s journey in the tournament ends here.
