Jeep Accident in Salyan

A jeep accident in Salyan has left 17 people injured. The accident happened around 10 AM on Monday near Phalate, Siddha Kumakh Rural Municipality-3. The jeep, registered as Bhe 1 Ja 1214, was traveling from Timile, Kumakh Rural Municipality, to Srinagar when it crashed.

According to Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri of the Salyan District Police Office, all the injured passengers were rescued immediately and are currently receiving treatment at Sharda Polyclinic in Srinagar, Sharada Municipality-1.

The accident occurred due to brake failure, causing the passenger jeep to hit a wall and overturn on the road. There were 18 people on board, including the driver.

Police have taken 24-year-old driver Akash Wadi, a resident of Sharada Municipality-1, into custody for further investigation.
